From the 1st of May 2010 many of the main boards of this site will be exclusive to the "Site Supporters" group, we have tried voluntary donations and auctions to raise funds towards server costs, sadly only a handful of members supported this venture, so in a last attempt to get the site self financing, and to be fair to the members who have donated we have decided that only site supporters will get the benefit of the main boards, more boards may in the future be made exclusive to the site supporters members group.
To join the "site Supporters" group you can pay through the paypal Subscribe button (Site Subscriptions) at the top of the main index page after you have registered, the cost is £10 per year, a small price to pay for the vast amount of detecting information available on this site, even if you haven't got a paypal account, you can still pay by debit/credit card through the paypal link.
This is a forum for the detecting enthusiast, you'll find detector programs, articles, manuals, Field Tests, Detecting stories, picture sections for latest finds, favourite finds, favourite photo's etc, also a couple of sections so we can have a laugh

It doesn't matter what make of detector you use you'll be welcome here.
Until you register you will only be able to view a few of the forum boards for security reasons, by registering you will be able to view far more boards in the forums, so hit the
Register button, your account will be activated by one of the Admin team as soon as possible, usually within 20 mins, but please allow up to 12hrs, you will receive an e-mail informing you when the account has been activated, you can then log into the forum and join us, and have your say on all things detecting, so come on in, you'll get a warm welcome
Some activation mails seem to be going astray, if you haven't received your activation e-mail after 12hrs please check your spam folder just in case it has been redirected there, you could also try logging into the forum to see if your account has been activated.Rally organisers feel free to advertise your upcoming rally's on the "rally" board
Due to several breaches of security we can only except e-mail addy's provided by your Internet Service Provider, we will reject anyone using a web mail addy such as hotmail, yahoo mail, g-mail etc.
Due to AOL using proxy servers we will no longer approve members who use AOL as their internet service provider, this is because it's impossible to ban members using AOL without banning several other members coming from the same proxy server.
